This morning, thirty former Rocky Mountain News staffers launched a new online local news initiative, In Denver Times. The initial goal is to get 50,000 people to pledge $4.99/month to subscribe to their coverage by April 23rd, which would have been the 150th anniversary of the first publication of the Rocky. You can watch their kickoff introductory video on youtube. In the meantime, several of the contributors, including Ed Stein, Mary Voelz Chandler, Drew Litton and others, have been posting articles on iwantmyrocky.com.
