Skylark (the old skylark, that is)

In 2003, the Skylark Bar moved from its home of 60 years at 58 Broadway to a new, roomier location at 140 South Broadway. According to its creators at Milkhaus, this brilliant time-lapse video “was made largely because of the bar moving out of it’s old space. We all had such great memories of the place we wanted to create something permanent that documented it.”

Special thanks to Davis Coombe, Bike Mike, Ronnie Crawford, and Scott Heron.

How delightful to see the Skylark again – and Bike Mike! Thanks for posting this.

Not to nitpick, but the original location was 58 Broadway (as in North), not South. Cheers!

    Thanks Ben, I fixed it.

Thank you makers and persons appearing in the old Skylark . Including Bike Mike , who as some of you know, is recently deceased. Mike is the youngest of 8 kids born to Kay and John Reddick . He never owned a car. Vision problems in the last few years made even the bike too dangerous

We the family of mike, our baby brother appreciate him being immortalized in film . You see here the Mike you knew
    .a very clever artistic lad.

I remember him young, and funny. Thanks. Cindy .middle sister.
